Family policies
What families ask before the first class.
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
In the pool, and watching
The instructor is in the water within arm's reach of every swimmer. An adult from your household stays on the deck for the whole class and watches. Lessons are no substitute for adult supervision.
What to wear and bring
Swim shirts are welcome in every class. Please tie long hair back, wear goggles if your swimmer likes them, and have a towel ready on a dry spot by the pool.
When to keep your child home
Please keep your swimmer home with a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads, and text us so we can make up the class.
Closures for weather and holidays
We cancel for thunder and storms and text you the same hour. In the hottest weeks we move classes to the morning and the evening. A class we cancel is made up in the same session.
Leaving the program
Please give us two weeks' notice before a swimmer leaves, so we can offer the place on our route to a family on the waitlist.
Screens and phones
Please keep phones away from the water's edge, and don't photograph other families' swimmers.
Brothers, sisters and neighbors
Brothers, sisters and friends are welcome on the patio with your adult. Please keep them away from the pool's edge while class is on.
Something we did not cover?
Call or text the office, or ask at your first visit.
