Questions from families
How do you place my swimmer?
At the first visit the instructor meets the swimmer in your pool, tries one easy skill and agrees on a level with you. The level can change as classes go on.
How long is a class, and how many make a session?
A class is thirty minutes. A session is eight classes, two a week.
What do we need to have ready?
A gate and fence around the pool, a shady spot, an adult on the deck for the whole class and a towel for each swimmer. We bring the kickboards and the toys.
What should my swimmer wear?
A swimsuit or a swim shirt; swim shirts are welcome in every class. Tie long hair back, and wear goggles if your swimmer likes them.
Where do I watch, and who is in the water?
An adult from your household stays on the deck for the whole class and watches. The instructor is in the water, within arm's reach of every swimmer.
What happens if we miss a class?
Tell us the day before and we will make it up in the same session, space allowing. A class we cancel is always made up.
What if it is very hot, or the weather turns?
In the hottest weeks we move classes to the morning and the evening. At the first thunder we get out of the water, and the class is made up in the same session.
How does tuition work?
Tuition depends on the level, how many swimmers share a class, classes a week and the weeks in the session. Our figures are on the enrollment page, and the how tuition works page explains each part.
Do you teach in Spanish?
Yes. Rufino and Valery teach in English and Spanish. Tell us which you prefer when you get in touch.
How do we start?
Ask about a first visit. We come to your pool, meet the swimmer and agree on a level, a day and a time.
Still wondering?
Call or text the office, or ask about a first visit.
