What happens at a first visit
The first visit takes place in your pool, with your adult there. It is how we place a new swimmer.
We meet
The instructor says hello to the swimmer and to your adult, and asks what the swimmer likes and what worries you. Tell us about the swimmer here, not on a form.
A walk around the deck
Together we agree where class happens, where the towels and the kickboards go and where your adult sits.
A first skill in the water
The instructor gets in, stays within arm's reach and tries one easy skill, such as bubbles or a float with support.
A level and a day
We agree on a level, a day and a time on the route, and tell you how to register.
What to have ready
The same four things as every class: a gate and fence that close, a shady spot, an adult on the deck and a towel for each swimmer. Your family follows your own city and county rules for pool fences and gates.
